damnation, damnation, damnation...

Hey folks,

Unfortunately auditions were cancelled this week so location scouting continued yesterday as Cassie, Dan, Dave and myself visited the Glenside Campus to have a look at the dungeon cells. The dungeon, with its white brick walls and lonely corridors are the perfect look for the film. There are adequate electricity outlets and the cells are underground, closed off to the rest of the hospital, so no interruptions. Hopefully everything goes to plan and we can shoot there.

Great news, recently I discovered that Evil Dead: The Musical opened in the US last year! Hopefully it will come to Australia...hell, I'd go see it.

Until next time,

just visiting...

Hello my brothers (and sisters),

Location scouting started on Tuesday with a tour of the Old Adelaide Gaol, however, the asking price for using a cell was ridiculous. I got in contact with Glenside Hospital (pictured) and although the hospital is undergoing changes, they are willing to try and help us out, so fingers crossed.

I have started my artwork that will be in the film as Chambers' disturbing drawings. I will display some of them here soon. Featured in the artwork will be famous horror film killers, monsters and madmen such as Michael Myers (Halloween), Pinhead (Hellraiser), Norman Bates (Psycho), Alex (A Clockwork Orange, pictured), Mark (Peeping Tom) and many more.

Lastly, auditions are coming up soon (the 24th & 26th April). I'll keep posting, you keep watching...reading...whatever.

inside the chamber...

Welcome to the production blog for the short film Just Killing Time. The film is about a serial killer, Benjamin Chambers, whose two favourite things in the world are art and murder. Chambers, held in an asylum for the criminally insane, fills the walls of his cell with his disturbing artwork and reflects on his victims and the glorification of serial killers by society. The script is now completed and pre-production is now in effect. I'll keep you posted.
